Chelsea star Cole Palmer shares how he really feels about Estevao Willian copying his celebration

Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer’s goal celebration is quickly becoming iconic.

Several players have already started using it, including Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez.

The two South Americans did it recently and are set to link-up with the man himself, Cole Palmer, next year when they officially become Chelsea players.

After scoring 25 goals last season, Palmer had plenty of opportunities to perform his celebration.

He has now been speaking about it while at the Euros with England.

Cole Palmer on his celebration

Rival supporters must be getting sick of Palmer’s celebration, but they may have to get used to it, with the likes of Estevao and Paez now imitating their future teammate.

Discussing the two using it, the 22-year-old told talkSPORT: “It’s funny, innit! It’s nice because they’re going to be playing with us next year, so it’s nice.”

Of course, it is something England fans will be hoping to see, though Palmer is unlikely to get too many opportunities to score during what is left of Euro 2024.

Gareth Southgate has been picking Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka over him because of his pace and experience.

Estevao cannot play for Chelsea yet, as the Brazilian is not 18. At his current age, he is unable to move to England.

In the future, though, you can certainly expect to see both him and Palmer in the same forward line, with the former perhaps playing on the right and the latter in the No.10 role.

If Estevao can make half the impact that Palmer made last season when he joins Chelsea’s first team, then the Blues will think that they have hit the jackpot, if they do not already.

In the 45 appearances Palmer made for Chelsea during the 2023/24 campaign, he managed to come up with 40 goal contributions — a ridiculous return.

Being much younger and having not played in England before, you would not expect Estevao to replicate that in his first season in London. But that is where he will want to get to one day as a Chelsea player.
