LAGOS—Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has filed a lawsuit against the state assembly. 

This legal action follows the Assembly’s allegations that El-Rufai’s administration misappropriated ₦432 billion and left the state with substantial debt liabilities.

El-Rufai’s legal team, headed by Abdulhakeem Mustapha, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, initiated legal proceedings at the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Wednesday, filing a fundamental rights suit.
