U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville is calling today’s Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity “a big win for the Constitution.”

The senior Alabama senator posted two reactions on social media platform X following the decision.

This came after the court handed down its ruling Monday morning in connection with former President Donald Trump’s election interference case.

Tuberville said the decision is a “massive loss for the Democrats who have spent four years trying to silence their top political opponent, President Trump.”

“The American people, not the courts, will choose the next President of the United States,” Tuberville said.

On his other account, Tuberville was more blunt:

“The Supreme Court just delivered a crushing blow to Joe Biden’s 4-year witch hunt against President Trump,” Tuberville stated. “Trump will wipe the floor with Biden in November. #MAGA”

The Supreme Court extended the delay in the Washington criminal case against Donald Trump on charges he plotted to overturn his 2020 presidential election loss, all but ending prospects the former president could be tried before the November election.

In a historic 6-3 ruling, the justices said for the first time that former presidents have absolute immunity from prosecution for their official acts and no immunity for unofficial acts. The court then sent the case back to lower courts to figure out precisely how to apply the decision to Trump’s case.
