Jennifer Marie Hayes was charged for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend multiple times.

A Clinton Township woman has been arraigned on charges for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, according to the Macomb County prosecutor.

Jennifer Marie Hayes, age 29, allegedly stabbed her boyfriend multiple times at his Clinton Township residence on Wednesday, the prosecutor's office said in a press release. The victim is expected to recover.

Hayes was arraigned Friday in 41B Clinton Township District Court. She has been charged with assault with intent to murder, a life felony, and aggravated domestic violence, a one-year misdemeanor.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said in a statement, "Domestic Violence needs to stop. Violence has no place in our community."

Magistrate Ryan Zemke set a cash/surety only bond at $250,000. If Hayes is released, she must wear a GPS tether.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Monday before District Court Judge Sebastian Lucido.
