Day five of the World Cup is upon us and there's plenty for Arsenal fans to look forward to.

Four games are set to be played on Thursday, November 24, as nations in both Group G and Group H get their campaigns underway. Switzerland take on Cameroon in the early kick-off before Uruguay play South Korea at lunchtime.

Portugal then face Ghana ahead of Brazil versus Serbia later on in the evening. Several of Arsenal's players and transfer targets have already been in action with the likes of Bukayo Saka already off the mark and Real Madrid star Marco Asensio impressing for Spain.

With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the names you need to keep an eye on at the World Cup today.

Gabriel Martinelli - Brazil

Gabriel Martinelli was controversially called up to the Brazil squad for the World Cup after fan-favourite striker Gabriel Barbosa was left at home. WIth a start in the side unlikely when up against the likes of Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Vinicius Jr, he'll be looking to impress when called upon and prove his doubters wrong.

Gabriel Jesus - Brazil

There's been some speculation in recent times as to whether Brazil boss Tete considers Jesus a winger or a striker. So having led the line at Arsenal to great effect, he could we do so against Serbia.

Thomas Partey - Ghana

Partey is the main man of the Ghana side. While Arsenal fans will be keen to see how he does, Mikel Arteta will be anxiously watching from home hoping that his star midfielder doesn't pick up any injury.

Granit Xhaka - Switzerland

The same can be said about Xhaka. The Swiss midfielder has often exceeded expectations on the international stage and has been central to all his nation's success in recent years.

Facundo Torres (Orlando City) - Uruguay

Torres has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal recently so all eye will be on the 22-year-old forward. The agent of Orlando City star has confirmed the Gunners are interested in the Uruguayan but talks over a transfer are not yet advanced.

According to the Evening Standard, the north Londoners are leading the race to acquire Torres' signature. His agent - Egardo Lasalvia - has confirmed to ESPN Uruguay that he is set to have a meeting with Toni Lima, who is one of Arsenal’s chief scouts.
