The birthday post comes days after Lindsay teased fans about a big development in the sequel to Freaky Friday. The iconic movie from 2003 is set to get a long-awaited follow-up and Lindsay stunned fans with an announcement on Good Morning America last week.

Fans of the cult classic, in which Lindsay portrayed teenager Anna Coleman alongside Jamie Lee Curtis who took on the role of her mother, Tess, have been buzzing with excitement after confirmation a sequel is in the works.

When probed about the upcoming project, Lindsay teasingly confessed she "can't say much." However, she dropped a big hint as she revealed: "But I am taking guitar lessons and I do have a daughter in the movie."

Given that Anna was part of a rock band called Pink Slip in the first film, and Lindsay herself recorded the track 'Ultimate' for its soundtrack, it looks like Anna's rock 'n' roll spirit will be echoed in the sequel.

Any other information is being kept firmly under wraps. While no date has yet been set, Lindsay recently shared a snap with actress Jamie on the movie set. She revealed on Instagram: "The Colemans are back and coming to theaters in 2025! The sequel to Freaky Friday is now in production!"
