ELLU/Nigeria: Agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have lauded the conduct of the Delta State Local Government Election in Isoko North Area, with contrasting reactions reflecting their party affiliations.

“People’s Democratic Party stalwarts in Isoko North local government area of Delta State, Elder Emmanuel Ogidi and Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, have described the July 13 Delta State local government election as free and fair,” affirmed Elder Ogidi. He commended the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) for meeting the expectations of Deltans, expressing confidence in the PDP’s potential for a landslide victory.

Responding to claims of compromised rules for credible elections, PDP chieftains dismissed such insinuations as baseless.

On the other hand Hon Egbabor stated that “The People’s Democratic Party remains steadfast in defeating opposition parties in both the Chairmanship and Councilor elections,”  emphasizing the party’s dedication to achieving this goal through diligent efforts.

However, APC agents at Owhelogbo town hall in Isoko North raised concerns about the fairness in the distribution of election materials by DSIEC officials, highlighting pockets of dissatisfaction.

Despite these complaints, agents from both PDP and APC at various polling units in Otigho, Ozoro, and Ellu within Isoko North local government area uniformly described the election as conducted in a free and fair manner.
