West Ham, Wolves target Kelechi Iheanacho

Guardian Nigeria 2024/10/6

Just days after leaving Leicester City, following the expiration of his £80,000 per week contract, Kelechi Iheanacho could be handed an opportunity for a Premier League return with the Nigerian international firmly on the radar of both the Hammers and Wolves, according to GIVEMESPORT.

Sources have told GIVEMESPORT that both West Ham and Wolves would see signing Iheanacho on a free as a great opportunity to bring in fresh competition in their striking departments without having to part with a transfer fee.

The Nigerian international scored six goals in the 23/24 campaign as Leicester won the Championship and sealed their return to the Premier League.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, key figures within both West Ham and Wolves, have begun enquiring about Iheanacho’s situation to find out what he wants from his next move before, over the next few weeks, coming to a decision as to whether or not to offer the 27-year-old a contract.

If Iheanacho does head to either the London Stadium or Molineux, he would do so with plenty of top flight experience under his belt. The Nigerian striker has 196 Premier League appearances to his name, scoring 42 goals and registering 25 assists
