DELTA, Ohio (WTVG) - One person is dead and three others were hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash in Fulton County Thursday afternoon.

It happened near the intersection of US-20 and SR-109 in Royalton Township, located in Fulton County, just before 1:20 p.m. on July 4.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, 74-year-old Richard Kinnick, of Adrian, Michigan, was driving a Chevy southbound on SR-109 when he ran through a stop sign at US-20. A 68-year-old man from Waldron, Michigan, was heading west on US-20 and hit Kinnick’s vehicle.

Kinnick died at the scene. A 71-year-old passenger in his car was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The other driver and his wife, from Waldron, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

OSHP said Kinnick was not wearing his safety belt at the time of the crash, but his passenger was.

Numerous agencies responded to the scene including the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the Delta Fire Department, the Lyons Fire Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol.
