Crime Round-up: HPD searching for suspects accused of burglarizing Pearl City home

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three more cases were highlighted in This is Now’s weekly Crime Round-up with HPD Sgt. Chris Kim of CrimeStoppers Honolulu.

A home break-in was caught on camera in which a male and a female suspect hit up a home along Aumakua Street. This break-in happened around 5:30 a.m. on April 1. One suspect got in through a window before the pair eventually made off with money. They fled the scene before police arrived.

In the second case on June 15 around 5:45 a.m., an unknown male suspect in his late teens or early 20s broke into a vehicle at the Cutter GMC service lot in Waipahu. Authorities say he entered and rummaged through several unlocked vehicles, and even tried to take one of them.

He’s described as having a thin build with noticeably dyed hair, with brown complexion, tattoos or markings on both upper arms, torso, and lower leg.

On May 18 around 1:30 a.m., police said a young male suspect entered a Waianae convenience store, forced open the secured beer cooler, and stole a 12-pack of beer. Police said physical force was used on an employee as the suspect fled.

He got out of the store without paying, and fled in a white four-door sedan.
