Victoria Beckham sent her love to Tom Cruise.
The Mission Impossible actor and famous fashion designer are really good friends and the Hollywood star only recently celebrated Victoria’s 50th birthday. Returning the favour, David Beckham’s wife was amongst the first to wish Tom a happy 62nd birthday today.
He famously did the splits and showed off impressive breakdancing skills at Victoria’s bash back in April, around the time his daughter Suri celebrated her milestone 18th birthday without her father in New York, all while he bonded with his star-studded pals in London.
“Happy Birthday @tomcruise!! Kisses @davidbeckham xx,” Victoria shared on her Instagram story on Wednesday, attaching a sweet picture of the three together at her party held at the private members club Oswald’s in London’s mega wealthy Mayfair.
At the party, Tom looked like he was auditioning to be the fourth Beckham brother as he arrived in a suit very similar to Romeo and Brooklyn. He made a dramatic arrival as he burst from a car and marched towards the entrance of Oswald’s. He had to leap into action to help a hapless paparazzi photographer who took a tumble outside the iconic venue.
Top Gun star Tom has been pals with David and Victoria since the early 2000s. He’s still in London so it’s not yet known if he’ll be throwing a similar style party for his birthday. It comes after he was snapped alongside his rarely-seen son Connor over the weekend.
They enjoyed some family time together and were seen stepping off a helicopter in the capital. Connor flashed a smile as he climbed out the chopper after his dad’s trip to Glastonbury for Coldplay’s Saturday night set. He waved to fans during the electric set as he was spotted alongside his famous friends Gillian Anderson and Simon Pegg.
Tom wore his trademark shades and a casual grey top while his son wore a black hoodie as he carried a heavy bag on his shoulder. Despite his family’s profile, Connor very much keeps a low-profile and has never done an interview despite numerous offers.
While Tom doesn’t see his children that often anymore, only recently missing Suri’s milestone 18th birthday in New York as he filmed movie scenes in London, he’s always spoken passionately about his lifelong dreams to become a good dad.
“My whole life I always wanted to be a father,” he told Vanity Fair in 2006. “I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me and I would always be there for them and love them—that I’d never make a promise to my kids that I couldn’t keep.”
