Mata left Old Trafford in 2022 and went on to win titles with Galatasaray in Turkey and Vissel Kobe in Japan. 

The 35-year-old is considering his next move in football and, to our delight, he is currently spreading the word about United in America. 

Juan arrived in San Diego earlier this week and spent Thursday in the community, speaking to the media, visiting a local YMCA centre, training with youngsters and even seeing the air base.

Juan has been joined by Real Betis legend Tab Ramos and, together, they are promoting this summer’s Tour 2024 fixture at the impressive Snapdragon Stadium.
