Security Guard With Stolen Car In Anambra, Arrested In Niger

Musa, according to a statement signed by SP Wasiu A. Abiodun, the Command’s PRO for the Commissioner of Police
Niger State was arrested by operatives at Sabon-Wuse, near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja for inability to give satisfactory explanations to the police about the car.

“Detectives at Sabon-Wuse Division arrested one Henry Musa 34 years of Awka, Anambra state with a Toyota Camry vehicle bearing Reg. No. LND 851 CJ suspected to have been stolen”.

The suspect, according to the statement was seen around Dikko junction, along Abuja-Kaduna expressway in Tafa area, Niger state with duplicate copies of the document with which he intends to sell the vehicle before his arrest.

The Police operatives from the Division were quickly mobilised to the area and the suspect was taken into custody with the vehicle, and during interrogations, he confessed that he was a security man working for a hotelier at Awka in Anambra state.

Musa further confessed that the keys of the vehicle was entrusted to him by the owner, but that he decided to take the vehicle away, and was at Dikko in order to dispose of it before he was confronted by the police.

While the suspect is under investigations, the statement said the case has been transferred to state CID and the suspect to face prosecution once investigations were completed.

The statement which however encouraged Nigerlites to be vigilant and to report any suspicious movements or gatherings to security agencies expressed the Command’s preparedness to rid Niger state of all forms of crime and criminalities.
