The Republic Magazine Residency Program for Creatives/ How to Apply (Reward: Residency + More)

The Republic Magazine Residency Program is a collaborative effort of The French Embassy in Nigeria, in partnership with StoryMi and The Republic Magazine. It invites emerging writers, photographers, and illustrators to participate in celebrating Nigeria’s cultural and historical heritages through  creative expressions.

The aim of The Republic magazine Residency Program is to produce a compelling and visually striking special issue of The Republic Magazine. Highlighting alternative perspectives on Nigerian heritage. These “alternative heritages” may include elements facing the risk of disappearance or those representing recent creations by minority, marginalized, or protesting groups. This involves monuments, languages, religions, traditions, music, and histories that collectively define Nigeria’s cultural richness.
