Heavy rains continue in several parts of Madhya Pradesh

Heavy rain continued in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, Mandla recorded 2 inches of rainfall. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain at night in 23 districts in the next 24 hours.

On Monday, it also rained in Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Umaria, Betul, Dhar, Guna, Narmadapuram, Khargone, Ujjain. 55 mm i.e. 2.2 inch of water fell in Mandla from 9 am to 5.30 pm. At the same time, about 2 inch of rain was recorded in Sidhi, 1.25 inch of rain fell in Raisen, 1 inch each in Pachmarhi-Dhar. At the same time, more than half an inch of water fell in Bhopal.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain with lightning or fall in Guna, Sanchi and Bhimbetka of Raisen, Udaygiri of Vidisha and Sagar in the next few hours. Bhopal, Shajapur, Sehore, Ashoknagar, Pachmarhi of Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, Damoh, Mandla may receive moderate rain with thunderstorms.

Apart from this, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Betul, Seoni, Sidhi, Singrauli, Rajgarh, Balaghat, Dindori, Jabalpur, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Ratangarh of Datia, Bhind, Khandwa, Maheshwar of Khargone, Harda, Dewas and Katni may also receive rain.

It has been raining continuously for 11 days in Bhopal. On Monday, intermittent rains continued, sometimes heavy and sometimes drizzling. Due to this, 65% more rain has occurred so far. The Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather for the next 4 days.

More than 1 inch of rain fell in the capital in the last 24 hours. With this, the figure is 230.8 mm i.e., 9.2 inches of rain has occurred, which is 25% of the total normal rainfall.

It rains a lot in July in Bhopal. There is a record of 1031.4 mm i.e. 41 inches of rain in a single month here. This happened in the year 1986. On 22 July 1973, 11 inches of rain fell in a single day, which is a record till date. This time the monsoon arrived on 23 June. So far, 63% more rain has occurred than normal. The average rainfall of the month is 367.7 mm i.e. 14.4 inches. Due to rain, the day temperature remains below 30 and the night temperature remains below 25 degrees Celsius. This time, the rain is continuing on Monday, the first day of July.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain for the next 4 days i.e. July 2, 3, 4 and 5. Heavy rain is expected on Tuesday. Thunderstorms will also continue.

It is expected that Bhopal will receive 106% more rainfall than normal this time. Last time, 18% less rainfall i.e., 82% (30.9 inches) rain was recorded, whereas the normal rainfall in Bhopal is 37.6 inches. Meteorologists say that even though the monsoon arrived 3 days late this time, it will rain well.

Meteorological Department, Bhopal,told that a strong system will be active from July 3. There will be good rain in the state till July 15. Dr. Singh said, 'Due to cyclonic circulation and trough line, there is a phase of rain. Very heavy rain has also occurred at many places in the last 24 to 48 hours.

The situation of storms, rain and thunder will remain for the next 5 days. Rainfall activity will intensify from the eastern Bay of Bengal from July 3. This may cause heavy rainfall in many districts of the eastern part. Many districts will get wet on July 4.'

During the last 24 hours, rainfall was recorded at some places in Chambal division districts of the country; at some places in Gwalior division districts; at many places in Ujjain, Sagar division districts; at all places in Bhopal, Indore, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdol division districts and the weather remained generally dry in all the districts of the remaining divisions. The maximum temperature fell significantly in the districts of Sagar division and there was no significant change in the temperatures in all the remaining districts.
