Though this may not be a traditional “tribute” performance, we have to include Paul McCartney’s “duet” with John Lennon at Glastonbury 2022 on this list. While performing a rendition of “I’ve Got a Feeling,” McCartney stepped away from the microphone, making space for a video of Lennon singing the bridge. It’s clear the moment was meant as a nod to his late bandmate. It was a moving ode to their partnership while in the Beatles.

Not all tributes have to be in musical form. When Ringo Starr was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, McCartney took to the stage to say some kind words about his former bandmate. 3. Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Friends Play “Something” at Concert for George (2002)
Concert for George is one of the most memorable Beatles tributes ever. Following the death of George Harrison in 2001, his former bandmates got together with a host of musical friends to pay homage to the “Quiet Beatle.” Among the setlist was a stripped down version of “Something.” McCartney took on lead vocals while playing ukulele. As the song progressed, a more standard arrangement of the song ramped up. Enter Starr and his unique sense of rhythm.
