A Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), Olamide Junaid Foundation, has extended help to widows, the less privileged and the poor in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The foundation distributed food palliatives to over 200 households in the city to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable individuals and families. The items distributed include rice, beans, and other essential food items.

The foundation’s founder, Dr Olamide Junaid, said the initiative was part of the organisation’s mission to support the less privileged and positively impact society.

She explained that the foundation has been working tirelessly to identify those in need and assist them.

“We believe everyone deserves a chance to live a good life and are committed to making that a reality. The distribution of palliatives is the latest in a series of initiatives by our foundation to support the poor and vulnerable in Ibadan.

“The organisation will also provide scholarships, healthcare services, and skills training for numerous individuals and families in the city,” she said.

“I love seeing people living in abundance; now that I’m okay to some extent, I feel people also need to feel my impact.

She added that the foundation is not only based in Nigeria but a foundation that caters to people in West Africa, and everybody can benefit from their initiatives.

Dr Junaid appealed to well-meaning Nigerians and organisations to give back to society and make a more significant impact.

Some beneficiaries at the event expressed gratitude and joy as they received the items, praising the foundation for its kindness and generosity because the palliatives came at a time when they needed it most.

Yunus Oseni, Coordinator of the Yemetu Obadara area, expressed gratitude to the foundation for the gesture to the widows and needy people. “I thank God for the Olamide Junaid Foundation, which deemed it fit to reach out to the less privileged people, especially the widows, to give them a token. That impression and good mind, I can’t quantify it.”

Community leaders and residents have widely praised the foundation’s efforts and appreciated its dedication to making a positive difference.
