Top Nollywood filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has recalled how ‘You don make me fall in love’ singer, D’Banj, contributed to the success of her business.

She talked about D’Banj’s heart of generosity on Friday night when he marked his 20 years on stage.

Many celebrities rallied round him, with many of them extolling his virtues.

Among  such were Clarence Peters, Femi Kuti; Timaya; ID Cabasa; Kenny Ogungbe; Bisola Aiyeola and Mr Macaroni.

Telling her own story, Akindele said D’banj assisted her with a lump sum to go ahead and produce more episodes of Jennifer, adding that this was the push that gave birth to “The Return of Jennifer”.

“And till date, the brand is still relevant. Christmas 2024, we are coming up with “Everybody Loves Jennifer”.

“So, this gentleman here, God used him to speak to me to have the Jennifer brand. I want to celebrate you D’banj, you were always there for me. I pray you will always be a force to reckon with. Congratulations D’banj.”
