Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Several Roads Closed Due To Angarki Chaturthi Observance; Check Routes To Avoid

Mumbai Traffic Police announced multiple restrictions ahead of Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi, which is expected to draw a large number of devotees to the Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi on Tuesday. The celebrations will impact vehicular movement in the areas of Prabhadevi, Dadar and Shivaji Park.

Angarki Chaturthi holds great religious significance for Hindus who observe Sankashti Chaturthi. This day is particularly celebrated in Maharashtra, where devotees fast and offer prayers to Lord Ganesha. The occasion sees special arrangements at Ganesha temples, attracting numerous worshippers.

In anticipation of the large crowds, Mumbai Traffic Police have advised motorists to plan their routes carefully and follow the diversions and alternative routes provided by the authorities. These measures are aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of both worshippers and commuters. 

Mumbai Traffic: Roads To Avoid Today

Key roads in the vicinity of the Siddhivinayak temple will be affected, including SVS Road, SK Bole Road, Gokhale Road, Kakasaheb Gadgil Marg, Sayani Road and Appasaheb Marathe Marg. Additionally, vehicular entry would be allowed on SK Bole Road from Gokhale Road and Shankar Ghanekar Road from Leningrad Junction. 

The temporary traffic restrictions will be enforced from 6:00 AM to midnight on June 25. These measures may be extended as necessary to ensure safety and manage the influx of devotees during the festivities.
