A stunning bay with a huge, wide curving, sandy beach that stretches into the distance is the most affordable beach to visit in the UK this summer.

With summer well and truly here, many of us are either thinking of booking a holiday or have booked one already. Those of us who don’t want to spend loads of money on sunbeds or pints and fancy staying in the UK will be pleased to know there is a stunning British beach with budget-friendly options.

Just two miles from Great Yarmouth lies a quiet, traditional, Victorian seaside town. Located on the east coast of Norfolk sits Gorleston-on-Sea, a serene, family-friendly and even your four-legged friends can be with you as the beach is dog friendly.

One particularly great thing about this east coast beach is that the car parking is free. You can park at one end, near the Gorleston Pavilion Theatre and Gorleston Pier, or in the middle of the beach, near the start of the cliffs, both car parks offer easy access straight to the seafront.

The beach is equipped with a children’s paddling pool, yacht pont and lifeguards keep a watchful eye between April - September.

And one of the best parts is that you can lie in the sun (hopefully) without putting a dent in your dent in your wallet as a pint is a respectable £4.39 while a spritz cocktail is slightly higher at £7.25.

It wouldn’t be a trip to the seaside without treating yourself to an ice cream, an ice cream serving is only £2.50 and a bottle of water is just over a pound at £1.07.

An award-winning sandy beach, overlooked by a gorgeous Georgian seafront in Weymouth is the second most affordable UK beach.

Weymouth Beach delights visitors with its golden sand, donkey rides, and fairground rides. You can also take a wander down the wide promenade, hire a pedalo, or laze around in a deckchair.

The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag and Seaside Award recognising it as one of the safest, cleanest, and very best in the country.

A pint of beer is just under £4 at £4.01 while a spritz is slightly more expensive here than at Gorleston-on-Sea at £8.02.

While taking in the deep blue waters you can relax on a sun lounger for £7.98 while enjoying an ice cream for £2.75.

If you fancy going abroad this summer but don't want somewhere too expensive then you may want to visit a  charming beach that stretches for miles and is the most affordable seaside place to visit in Europe to visit this summer.

Considered one of the best city beaches in the world, Playa de Las Canteras in Gran Canaria is blessed with fine weather practically all year round.

And the best part is you can cool off in the sun without spending a fortune as a pint of beer is only £3 and spritz cocktails are just £5.15.

While a sun lounger is priced at £2.57 per day, an ice cream serving is £1.80 and you can get a bottle of water for under £1 at 88p.
