Imo PDP gets caretaker committee

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has, on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC), approved the composition of Imo State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the state chapter of the party.

The decision was pursuant to Section 29(2)(b) of the PDP constitution (as amended in 2017). 

This was contained in a statement made available to Blueprint by the party National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba.

It reads in part: “The Caretaker Committee is charged with the responsibility of running the affairs of the Party in Imo State for a period not exceeding 90 days (3 months); or untill a new Executive Committee is elected.

“The members of the committee is to be chaired by Engr. Chidi Dike, while Ugorji Onuegbu was appointed the Secretary.

Other members are; Esther Aguwamba, Nnamdi Nsorom, Carl Nwoke Oma, Edith Nwachi,  Barr Uche Igbokwe, Bede Ejimadu, Barr. Gozie Nwachukwu, Chris Odoemena, Victor Diala, Njaka Uche, Clara Ugba Onyebuchi, Njaka Duruiheoma Emeka, Hon. Mike Okafor , Hon. Jeff Nwachukwu, Mrs. Chinyere Okoro.

The NWC urged all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the party in Imo state to remain united and continue to work together for the progress of the party in the state.
