ABAKALIKI – The lauded performance of the National Assembly members from Ebonyi State is said to be key to the cordial relationship and appreciable development of the State.

Former Commissioner for Sports and Youths Development in the State, Mr. Charles Akpu-enika said this, noted that the cordiality in the State polity such that has united the key players into forming strong alliance with the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) is much more, fallout of effective representation by the NASS members.

In an interactive session with news men in the State yesterday ,Akpui-enika explained that whereas some other States are boiling, distracted by power tussles, Ebonyi State is at peace, with the Lawmakers having the desired and conducive environment to give quality representation within their first year in office.

“Of course, I congratulate them. You know I’m Legislative Aide to the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives. At Abuja, indeed, wherever you go, that you are from Ebonyi State, or just associated with Ebonyi State opens doors for you. The spirit of division, “Abuja Group” syndrome has been killed. “, he stated.

The former Commissioner said that, ” Senators Onyekachi Nwebonyi, an astute political loyalist, first- time Senator, yet, Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Anthony Ani, Kenneth Eze, and the House of Representatives members, Hon. Emmanuel Uguru, Hon Chinedu Ogah, Hon Idu and Hon Eze Nwachukwu have demonstrated love for their constituents through visibility in the Red and Green chambers of the NASS and human empowerment.

Akpu-enika , an indigene of Anambra State said that what is obtained in Ebonyi State politics should be a signpost for other States to emulate, added that,
“If we continue like this, the State will become one party State of the APC”.
