LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Acolyte' premiered on June 4, 2024, on Disney+, and since then the amazing 'Star Wars' series has entertained fans all over the world with its intense storytelling and mind-blowing plot twists.

Fans of the show and of 'Star Wars' as a whole have been glued to their TV screens trying to figure out minor details in the show that is based in the High Republican Era when the Jedi Order was at its peak and the dark side was yet to rise.

The show features Jedi wearing white robes rather than their typical brown robes except for the character of Master Indara (Carrie-Anne Moss). The character was there in the show only for a limited time and died within the first 7 minutes of the show having been killed by Mae (Amandla Stenberg).

Why is Master Indara's robe different from the other Jedi?

In the early part of the series, we see Master Indara wearing the brown robe while Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) and the other Jedi at the temple wear white robes.

The reason for the white robes is that the show is set in the High Republic Era. In that era, the Jedi Order's purity is symbolized with white colors, particularly at the Jedi Temple. Later in the series we also see Master Vernestra (Rebecca Henderson) wear the white robe that symbolizes purity at the Jedi Temple.

Later on in the series, we witness the other Jedi wear the brown and golden robes when they are on a mission. It helped them intermingle with the crowd and exist without being noticed.

Master Indara was in a public place when Mae attacked her in the first episode. Her robe was a good camouflage for her among the others and helped her naturally blend with people.

Will Master Indara return in 'The Acolyte'?

Master Indara was killed in the first episode but did make a return in the third episode which was a flashback episode. With two episodes to go, she might make a return in another flashback episode.

Episode 7 promises to explore Master Sol's past and its relationship with Mae and Osha at Brendok. Master Indara was a part of the Jedi Masters who went to recruit Mae and Osha.

Therefore, it could be possible that Master Indara has something to do with the past happenings at Brendok 16 years ago. She was Mae's first target so she could have had a hand in what shaped Mae's life as an assassin.
