ASHLEY Roberts has paid an emotional tribute to her friend who lost his battle with cancer.

The Heart radio star, 42, took to Instagram to share singer-songwriter Bobby Newberry's heartbreaking post following the death of his beloved husband Anthony "T.J" Paradise.

Ashley wrote underneath it: "Our poor T.J. Heartbroken," with a heart, wings and prayer emoji.

Performer Bobby also penned a heartfelt message to his partner of 20 years, alongside a black and white photo of the late star from his hospital bed.

The emotional statement read: "With the heaviest heart I have to let everyone know that my beautiful husband T.J. lost his four year battle with cancer on 5/4/24.

"He was surrounded by loved ones and even in this dark time there was so much light and love in the room.

"If you met him even once you knew how much of an impact he had on the world around him.

"Nothing will ever be the same.

"I had twenty and a half years of love and memories and now I have a lifetime of missing you.

"I love you, my sweetheart."

Ashley shared a touching comment, writing: "Can’t believe it. He will be forever loved. May he spread his wings. I love you so much Swiss."

She added: "Love you both so much. I’m so so sorry."

Another heartbroken friend wrote: "Omg I’m so so sorry. Sending so much strength and love. It’s hard to fathom. He will always be that light, now in angelic form."

Someone else shared: "we are all so blessed to have known him. i love you."
