Kooki, a critically acclaimed Hindi film produced in Assam, was released nationally on 28th June 2024. The film, directed by Pranab J. Deka, addresses the sensitive topic of a rape victim’s journey, portraying the multiple stages and mental trauma she endures.

The film features debut actor Ritisha Khaund, alongside veteran Bollywood actors Rajesh Tailang, Devoleena Bhattacharya, Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika, Ranjeev Lal Barua, Preety Kongkona, Bodhisattva Sharma, Dipannita Sharma, Ritu Shivpuri, and many others.

Kooki received critical acclaim from various film fraternities worldwide, particularly those who attended the Cannes Film Festival and watched the film at Marché Du Film. The film has also caught the attention of distributors from Europe and Africa.
