James Gunn isn't immediately thrown off by the photo leaks from the set of Superman. The director of the upcoming Superman film and the co-head of DC Studios once again took to Threads to engage with his fanbase and answer some questions about the upcoming film based on the Man of Steel. When asked if he was upset about the photo leaks from the set of the forthcoming film, Gunn simply replied that it was fully expected this would happen.
In a follow-up post, James Gunn was asked whether the leaks had irrevocably spoiled the film. Gunn provided some good news for those concerned and said that the film wasn't even spoiled in the slightest. He was also clear about letting everyone know that he wouldn't shoot a major spoiler in the middle of a crowded Cleveland, Ohio. His full comment can be read below:

Written and directed by James Gunn, Superman is the first movie in Warner Bros.' rebooted DC Universe to center around the titular comic book hero. It introduces a new version of the Man of Steel after Henry Cavill's departure from the role, honoring the character's roots as "the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way."
These comments are the latest in a series of posts on Threads where the Guardians of the Galaxy director cleared up some misconceptions about the setting of the upcoming movie. Like much of the new approach to the DCU, the plot of the upcoming film remains a myster as we await the 2025 release of Superman. However, we do know who will be playing the all of the major roles, including David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Nicholas Hoult playing Lex Luthor, and Rachel Brosnahan portraying Lois Lane.
It is also known why all the upcoming films in the DCU will be in the same universe and interconnected; each story will be a standalone tale, and there will not be the need to binge all prior movies ahead of any individual release, such as the case with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is also known that despite the new direction of DC Comic movies led by James Gunn, Matt Reeves is getting to continue his Batman franchise, which stars Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight. Most recently, there was a trailer reveal for the upcoming series centered around The Penguin, portrayed by Colin Farrell, which will be streaming on Max.

Gunn continued to shoot down rumors by saying that there was no need to cast Krypto the Superdog when a fan asked tongue-in-cheek if there was a need for voice casting for the Superdog. Of course, the last time Krypto was voiced on the big screen, he was portrayed by Dwayne The Rock Johnson in DC's League of Super-Pets.
