Eric Garcia is back to his best at Girona. He needed to take a step back before returning to the top level and he has done so under the guidance of coach Michel.

It was the centre-back himself who confirmed his return to the Barcelona squad: "I'm coming back. I have a contract, I'll come back when the season is over and we'll talk to the club to see what's what," he said.

"For the moment I will return to Barca, my club. Obviously, at Girona I have been very good, they have treated me very well and even more so if we achieve what we are about to achieve. It will depend on the club if I can stay. I know I have two more years on my contract and I have to come back," he told 'Sport'.

Eric Garcia will face his team on Saturday: "It will be a special game, as it was in the first leg. You play against your friends, against the team you belong to and the team you are from. And as he says, it's important because we're playing for second place.

"The first year was complicated at Barca in terms of the group. There was the change of coach, then we bounced back and got into the Champions League. The second season was very good and we won La Liga. On an individual level, I didn't get all the minutes I wanted and that's why I decided to go out on loan," he confessed.
