Artificial Intelligence (AI) search engine Perplexity debuts the update of its Pro Search tool, which can now handle more complex questions, carry out advanced math and programming computations, and return more thoroughly researched answers.  

“We’ve supercharged Pro Search’s code execution, making it faster and more powerful for data analysis, debugging, and content generation. Plus, with the integration of the Wolfram|Alpha engine, Pro Search now solves complex mathematical questions with unprecedented accuracy and speed,” the Perplexity Team said.

Founded in August 2022, Perplexity is a free search engine that promises to provide answers backed by credible citations from news outlets, academic papers, and established blogs. 

“Whether you’re researching for professional projects, seeking answers to everyday questions, or exploring new topics to broaden your understanding, Perplexity is your definitive source for information,” the team previously stated. 

The search engine also offers a Quick Search option for fast and accurate answers, though it is outperformed by Pro Search’s more comprehensive reports and analysis. 

The team also added, “Pro Search now approaches intricate problems with more multi-step reasoning. It understands when a question requires planning, works through goals step-by-step, and synthesizes in-depth answers with greater efficiency.”

Moreover, free users can use the feature five times every four hours for free, but Perplexity offers a Pro subscription to get 600 searches per day.
