Hyderabad: AGI Greenpac is making an investment of Rs 230 crore to modernise its existing furnaces, implement new technologies, and optimise production at its plants.

Addressing the media at the company’s Bhongir plant, he said AGI Greenpac is also exploring export opportunities in the Middle East and Europe, following the establishment of an export channel in the USA.

"Our investment in our production capabilities will ensure we are well-positioned to meet the demand for our glass packaging solutions. This strengthens our domestic offerings and also allows us to venture into new markets,” Khosla said.

The speciality glass plant in Bhongir has been fully operational since January 2023. With a daily production capacity of 154 tonnes, this facility produces clear glass products in various shapes and sizes to cater to cosmetics, perfumery, candle jars, and premium alcohol beverage segments, he said.

AGI Greenpac also has a glass packaging R&D Centre that focuses on developing new technologies. The company also has a decoration unit that offers customisation options to cosmetics, perfumery, and beverage brands, he said.

Among others, it will explore investments in wind energy, replace diesel vehicles with electric vehicles, and add hydrogen as a fuel option, he said.
