Chelsea are close to signing Argentine wonderkid Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors for £17 million, with potential add-ons.

Anselmino is expected to sign a six-year deal and will initially join Strasbourg on loan.

Manchester United were strongly linked with Aaron Anselmino, but he’d now be signing for Chelsea.

According to The Athletic, talks between Chelsea and Boca Juniors are at an advanced stage but a final agreement has yet to be reached.

Talks are moving positively and personal terms are not considered a hurdle.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on the deal: “Aaron Anselmino already said yes to Chelsea, waiting on club to club agreement with Boca Juniors to be completed.”
