Dog saved from Sabattus home fire

SABATTUS, Maine — A home in Sabattus was destroyed by a fire on Friday evening.

The Sabattus Fire Department says flames were visible on the first floor when crews arrived at the home at 9 Conway Street.

No one was injured in the fire and crews were able to rescue a dog from the first floor of the home.

Due to the damage from the flames, the home was deemed a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the fire department says it is not considered suspicious.
