The shade should also be durable and easy to install,” explains Dr. Sarkar.
• Attachment Method and Window Usability: Sunshades attach in various ways, including suction cups, magnets, and static cling, so make sure you can install the one you choose in your car. In addition, you’ll want to pay attention to whether or not you can roll down your windows while the shade is in place or if it must be removed first.
• Size: There are sizes for almost every car window, ranging from large windshield covers to smaller shades designed for front and rear side windows. Check your measurements, and make sure your window will accommodate the shades you choose. Some retailers allow you to input your car model and it will tell you if the product is compatible. 

How to Use Car Sunshades Safely

With car accessories, the most important aspect is ensuring it’s securely attached, especially if the item has heavy or hard pieces. Simple fabric cling options are least likely to pose a risk of becoming a dangerous projectile during a car accident. “Sunshades are generally very safe.
