1 person arrested by Glynn County police after shooting on Sunday morning

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () – The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested a woman following a shooting that took place Sunday morning.

The incident occurred just before 5 a.m. on Sunday. Glynn County Police officers responded to a shots-fired call at Breckenridge Drive. Once on the scene, officers learned that shots had been fired into an occupied home. GCPD was able to identify 28-year-old Taylor Steedley as the suspected shooter.

Detectives located Steedley at a home on Johnston Street. GCPD executed a search of her home and vehicle. The search uncovered a firearm, ammunition and various controlled substances.

Steedley was charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the commission of Certain Crimes, Discharging a Firearm near a Public Roadway and additional charges are pending.

This incident was Investigated by the GCPD Criminal Investigations and Uniformed Patrol Divisions, with the assistance of the Crime Scene Technicians.
