New Delhi: Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, who has introduced several stars in the past, is all set to introduce a new star to the audience, Lakshya Lalwani, in the film Kill, scheduled to release on July 5 in theatres. Lakshya finally marks his big Bollywood debut with Kill after his two Dharma films got shelved, Dostana 2 and Bedhadak.

Who is Lakshya Lalwani?

Lakshya Lalwani had to wait for a long time before marking his Bollywood debut. Post a long stint on television, he signed a three-film deal with Dharma. Initially, the actor was supposed to make his debut with Dostana 2 in 2021, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan. However, after beginning shooting in 2019, the film was eventually shelved by the production house.

Then, KJo announced Shashank Khaitan’s Bedhadak, starring Shanaya Kapoor, Lakshya Lalwani, and Gurfateh Pirzada. However, this film was shelved too. Lakshya has been working for nine years to finally make his debut with a Dharma film.

Lakshya’s television career

Lakshya Lalwani made his acting debut with the television series, Warrior High in 2015. He was then seen in the TV show titled Adhuri Kahaani Hamari. He was the part of the show for an year before quitting it. He then appeared on an episode of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. In 2016, he was cast as Veer Mehra in Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil. And just before signing Dharma’s three-film deal, he was playing the titular role in the historical TV show Porus between 2017 to 2018. He worked in television for six years.

Lakshya’s personal life and education

Born on April 19, 1996, Lakshya originally hails from Delhi. He completed his schooling from St Zavier’s School in Delhi and completed his graduation from Fine Arts and Photography from Delhi University.
