PROGRAMMES OFFERED:
1. Pre-Degree Science (PDS) Programme
The Programme will run for one academic session of two semesters in preparation to be admitted into 100 level undergraduate department of the university. This programme entails the training of candidates with requisite qualification (School Certificate) or its equivalent.
2. University Advanced Basic Science (UABS) Programme
The JUPEB UABS programme runs for one academic session of two semesters and the students are admitted into 200 level undergraduate department of the university. During the final period of the one academic session, the Joint University Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) sets up the exams the students have to sit for, in order to be admitted in the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and other Universities in Nigeria through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Direct Entry process and admission to universities all over the world.
3. Short-Term Courses/Certificate Programme (STC/CP) Programme
The Short-Term Courses/Certificate Programme provides in-depth theoretical training coupled with practical exposures aimed at exposing qualified candidates to new technological innovations in their chosen field of study. It comprises of various certificate specializations with varying lengths of time to study these courses but consists typically courses that span two academic sessions of four semesters and graduating students will be offered certificates at the end of the programme for each set of students.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- You must have obtained a JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) form.
- Must have selected FUTA as your First choice.
- Obtained a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the PDS final session examination.
- Lastly, you must have scored JAMB’s minimum aggregate grade for admission into 100 level and meet the requirements of the University Admission Committee (UAC).
Application Guide To FUTA Pre degree/JUPEB Admission Form 2024/2025 Academic Session
Step 1: New Applicant should click HERE to “Create Account Here” and select the programme (e.g PDS/UABS) and fill other details to create an account.
Step 2: Login into your account with your Username and Password.
Step 3: Click on Payment to generate application invoice which contain the TRANSACTION ID or INVOICE NO (and RRR for Remita Payment) with which to make payment at the the Bank OR Online (Note: Use RRR Remita Code Generated from your Application Profile Only) .
Step 4: Candidates are to pay application fee of Fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.00) excluding bank charges on Remita in any Bank or Online on the Remita platform (using RRR generated from FUTA site)
Step 5: AFTER generating any of your fees’ Remita RRR code from your student profile, it is ONLY then you have the option of paying directly online using your ATM card at www.remita.net website and proceed to “Bills and Purchases” NOT “Pay TSA & States” option on their website and type in your already generated RRR code rather than going to the bank to make payment.
NB: Some Banks (e.g GTBank) may only allow you to use their built-in Remita payment option on their mobile app (GT World) and are advised to pay via that route and will obtain their receipts from the e-mail address registered in their CCE profile.
Step 6: Login to your account Online after payment to confirm your payment and complete the on-line PDS/UABS Application Form
Step 7: Submit the Online application form and print out a copy of the Acknowledgement/Screening Schedule slip.
Students who are able to see the option (Print Admission Letter) on their profile before he/she can go ahead and pay their school fees using the same process of application fee payment through Remita by generating School fee invoice number and RRR on their profiles and confirm payment after they have paid in the Bank.
