PIMCH collaborates with INFOCLIN to empower clinical research

The Department of Pharmacology of PIMCH took part in a training workshop on ‘Empowering Clinical Research’ organized by the PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMCH) in collaboration with INFOCLIN Consultancy.

The workshop was held by the upcoming PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMCH) at the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on July 4, 2024. It was attended by faculty, physicians, and students of the University. The training workshop emphasized the importance of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in the conduct of clinical research.

The workshop began with a presentation by Prof (Dr) Subhinojyoti Bhowmick, M.D., FISQua, Clinical Director, Academics, Quality & Research, Peerless Hospital and B K Roy Research Centre, Kolkata. Prof Bhowmick highlighted the importance of the ethical principles of GCP and the need for them in the conduct of clinical research. He emphasized that the ethical principles of GCP are essential for ensuring human participants in clinical trials are treated fairly and that the results of clinical trials are credible and accurate.
