FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc stocks lifted the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by 0.36 per cent on Monday, July 1 after chalking up N3.84 at the close of trading activities.

The share price of the producer of the popular Peak Milk and Three Crown finished the session at N50.00 per unit, in contrast to the preceding trading session’s N46.16 per unit.

As a result, the market capitalisation of the trading platform appreciated by N7.49 billion to N2.108 trillion from N2.1 trillion, and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went up by 5.47 points to wrap the session at 1,538.47 points compared with 1,533.00 points recorded at the previous session.

During the trading day, the volume of securities traded increased by 180.5 per cent to 70,897 units from the 25,278 units traded in the preceding session just as the value of shares traded yesterday rose by 763.7 per cent to N47.4 million from the N5.5 million recorded last Friday, while the number of deals grew by 46.7 per cent to 22 deals from the 15 deals executed in the previous trading day.

When trading activities closed for the session, Capital Hotels Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 259.6 million units valued at N1.3 billion, followed by Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with the sale of 218.8 million units for N46.1 million, and Mixta Real Estate Plc with 139.8 million units sold for N240.1 million.

Aradel Holdings Plc ended the day as the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 6.3 million units worth N17.0 billion, followed by Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc with 101.6 million units valued at N2.5 billion, and Capital Hotels Plc with 259.6 million units sold for N1.3 billion.
