Former Presidential Candidate Group Drums Support For NYCN Deputy State Chairman Aspirant, Emmanuel George

As the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Cross River State chapter’s election draws closer, the School of Politics, Policy and Governance (SPPG) is in solidarity with its alumnus Emmanuel George in the June 19, 2024, coming election in the State.

The SPPG was founded by the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Oby Ezekwesili, during the 2019 presidential election. Emmanuel George, vying for the office of the Deputy State Chairman of NYCN, is an alumnus of the group.

In a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of SPPG, Alero Ayida-Otobo, said they have drummed support for Emmanuel. They applauded his courage for taking the bull by the horns to contest the deputy chairmanship position.

The group averred that his preparation and experience have undoubtedly equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the challenges and complexities of public service with grace and effectiveness. Adding that: “Your candidacy embodies the values of integrity, inclusivity, and progress that we hold dear at the SPPG. I am pleased to acknowledge that your fellow alums are standing firmly behind you, offering financial and moral support as you undertake this significant endeavor.”

It reads in parts: “Your decision to step forward and offer your leadership to the youth of our nation speaks volumes about your dedication, passion, and commitment to service, as an alum of the School of Politics, Policy, and Governance (SPPG).

“Your preparation and experiences have undoubtedly equipped you with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the challenges and complexities of public service with grace and effectiveness. Your candidacy embodies the values of integrity, inclusivity, and progress that we hold dear at the SPPG. I am pleased to acknowledge that your fellow alums are standing firmly behind you, offering financial and moral support as you undertake this significant endeavor. This collective show of solidarity is proof of the strong bonds forged within our alumni community and underscores our shared commitment to fostering positive change in society.

“As you prepare for the upcoming election on June 19, 2024, I urge you to remain steadfast in your vision and resilient in the face of challenges, knowing fully well that leadership is not merely about holding a title but about making a meaningful impact and leaving a lasting legacy of positive change.

“Please know that we are cheering you on every step of the way and eagerly anticipate the positive contributions you will make to the youth of Cross River and beyond. Wishing you every success in the upcoming election.” The NYCN elections will be held on June 19, 2024.
