Former Chelsea Forward Batshuayi Completes Transfer To Galatasaray


Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi has joined Turkish giants Galatasaray, marking a unique transfer in Istanbul football history. This move makes Batshuayi the first foreign player to represent all three of Istanbul's major clubs: Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas.

Batshuayi impressed during his time in Turkey. He spent the last two seasons on loan at Fenerbahce, where he notched an impressive 14 goals in 42 appearances. 

Prior to that, he had a loan stint with Besiktas, contributing with 5 goals in 32 games. The 30-year-old has now signed a three-year deal with Galatasaray, their fierce rivals.

This transfer has generated significant buzz in Turkey, with some fans expressing strong reactions. 

Batshuayi's wife even reported receiving online threats targeting their child. Despite the controversy, Batshuayi seems determined to embark on this new chapter in his career, hoping to replicate his goalscoring form for Galatasaray.
