Ondo 2024: PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate’s Kinsman, Adeleye Joins APC

The Peoples Democratic Party House of Representatives Aspirant in 2023 general elections, Jasper Adeleye has dumped the party to join ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeleye, the PDP House of Representatives Aspirant for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency submitted his membership resignation letter to Isalu Jigbokin PDP Ward Chairman, Idanre local government on Wednesday.

The letter read: “In exercise of my constitutional right to belong to a political party of my choice and guided by law, I Dr. Adeleye Olusayero Jasper humbly notify the general public, party members and my loyal followers of my wish to resign as a member of the People’s Democratic Party. This was concluded due to personal reasons

“I want to use this medium to appreciate the party and party leaders for giving me the opportunity to serve and contest in various capacities including contesting for the House of Representatives for Idanre/Ifedore Primary Election, which I do not take for granted. I appreciate all the members for their support. May the lord continue to be with us all.”

The Idanre born Politician in a chat with Our Correspondent said he has moved to All Progressives Congress to support President Bola Tinubu and Governor Lucky Aiyetidawa administrations.

Adeleye also used the opportunity to declare support for Governor Lucky Aiyetidawa ahead of November 2024 Ondo State Governorship election.

According to him, All Progressives Congress Candidate in Ondo 2024 governorship election, Governor Lucky Aiyetidawa remains the right man for the job. He has displayed character, capacity and capability in handling the state affairs just within six months. Aiyetidawa does not believe in use and dump strategy. We will mobilize support for him to win the election.

Recall that Adeleye contested against PDP Deputy Governorship candidate, Festus Akingbaso popularly known as FessyWest during Party’s primary election in May 2022.
