Stakeholders in the Leather Industry in Nigeria are appealing to the government to develop the market to become a viable sector for revenue generation.

This was made known at the Lagos Leather Fair 2024 where over 50 Small and Medium Scale Enterprises exhibited their products made from Leathers.

From the exterior, you would be greeted by a colourful acronym inscription of the Lagos Leather Fair 2024 and right inside are different sections of creative leather works.

This is the 7th edition of the Leather Exhibition designed to showcase the prospects in the industry.

It started with a workshop on how small business owners can use Artificial Intelligence to achieve success.

These are creative products locally made from Leathers and the Organisers have been exhibiting these small business owners for seven years.

The facilitators say the convergence is to draw attention to the potential and successes of the Leather market.

Some of the Exhibitors believe the government has to create business-friendly policies that will enhance the development of the industry.

These participants are optimistic that if the Leather market is properly developed, Nigeria can leverage its potential to boost the GDP of the country.
