It seems that Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes is a man that is wanted – with Man United constantly linked with a move.

The Brazilian star has been impressive for the Toon since since his move to the Premier League just a few windows away – and has really developed into a class Premier League star.

His performances this season has led to alot of speculation that a number of clubs are interested in a potential deal for the Brazilian International – with Manchester United one of this chasing sides.

However, at the moment, there is no concrete interest in his signature, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano. The transfer insider writes in his column on Caught Offside:

“We’ve had more stories about Bruno Guimaraes, this time being linked with Manchester City. Still, as mentioned in recent days, Bruno is being linked with every top club in the world at the moment – City, Arsenal, PSG, United, all the clubs… it’s normal that all these clubs like and follow Bruno.

‘But according to my sources, nothing is advanced or concrete so far. There are no discussions taking place now, it will take some days or weeks to understand more. No fresh changes.”

Guimaraes is a player that should be challenging for titles and playing in the Champions League – he is ready for that next big move.

However – Man United may be interested in the player – but is a midfielder that the club do not need right now as they have a number of quality midfielders in the side already.

If Manchester United can manage to get a new striker and maybe a winger first and the add Guimaraes to the side – it will be worth it – but he is a player that they do not 100 per cent need.
