ALBAWABA - According to a report by Al Jazeera today, Israel has admitted, for the first time since the start of the war, that it has lost many tanks as a result of damage incurred during fighting in Gaza.

Al Jazeera also revealed that the Israeli military blamed a lack of skilled people, many of whom had been killed or seriously wounded in the continuous fighting, as well as a paucity of tanks. As such, there has been a delay in the plans to include female troops into armored forces.

Furthermore, Haaretz verified the report, indicating that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) ascribed the decreasing quantity of tanks to regular attacks by Palestinian resistance groups. There are apparently not enough tanks in the present inventory to satisfy the military's operating needs.

Palestinian resistance fighters often assault Israeli tanks and vehicles in Gaza's numerous battle zones.

The armed branch of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, said in February that since the fighting began on October 7th, over 1,100 Israeli military vehicles had been destroyed. In his statement, Al-Qassam listed the many kinds of vehicles that were destroyed: 74 bulldozers, 3 excavators, 962 tanks, 55 troop carriers, and 14 other military vehicles.

This incident highlights how the situation in Gaza is becoming more intense, with both sides continuing to engage in regular and rising attacks.
