Anambra  Deputy Governor Receives  Distinguished Merit Award From Scout Association Of Nigeria

The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has received a distinguished merit award from Scout Association of Nigeria for his meritorious service to God and humanity.

The Deputy Governor received the award in his office at the Government House, Awka.

Receiving the award, Dr Ibezim who is the President of Scout in Anambra state thanked the national body of the association for recognizing him in such capacity, and dedicated the award to Governor Chukwuma Soludo who he said is a leader with a difference who provides platform for his subjects to serve the people.

He assured that the award will spur him to do more for humanity and to serve the association better.

The Deputy Governor intimated the group with various achievements of the Professor Soludo led administration for the state, saying that the strides are the Governor’s efforts towards ensuring equitable distribution of democracy dividends across the state and making the people feel the real impact of government.

Earlier, the Assistant Chief Commissioner, Communications and Public Affairs of the national body of the association, Dr Chukwujekwu Ibe, and the Anambra State Scout Commissioner, Mr Samuel Ofuonye while presenting the award to the Deputy Governor on behalf of the national president, thanked him for all his support to humanity and the association, encouraging him to continue with his good work as God will definitely reward him.

In a vote of thanks, a member of the group, Mr Echieteka Eze described the award as well deserved, observing that since Dr Ibezim became the president of Scout in Anambra state, the association has continued to move from strength to strength.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Boundary Matters, Mr Ekenechukwu Okoye, and Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters, office of the Deputy Governor, Barrister Chukwunonso Chukwudi were present during the event.
