It has again been claimed that Arsenal are open to the idea of letting the much talked about Aaron Ramsdale leave the club this transfer window.

The 26-year-old who has made England’s Euro 2024 squad has been linked to a transfer this summer after falling behind David Raya in the pecking order at the Emirates.

The likes of Chelsea, Aston Villa and West Ham are just three clubs that have been linked with a move for the England goalkeeper – and now reporter Tom Canton has claimed that the Gunners are open to the idea of letting him leave- he writes:

‘Arsenal appear to be open to Ramsdale departing and are interested in Espanyol’s Joan Garcia football.london understands. The 23-year-old Spaniard would join David Raya whose permanent move is expected to be completed in the near future.

‘However, the move for Garcia would only happen should Ramsdale leave and so far that reality has struggled to emerge. There had been suggestions that Newcastle United were keen on the player however ARSENAL’s expectations on the England international’s price have seen Eddie Howe’s side target Burnley’s James Trafford instead.

‘There have been varying claims surrounding the asking price from £30million all the way to £50million. Arsenal are keen to make a profit on the player signed for an initial £24million back in 2021 and having seen him sign an extension last summer, the club have plenty of control when it comes to dictating the price.’

Ramsdale is far too good to be sitting on the bench every week and he must have hated it last season – there are some big clubs interested in a potential deal – and if anyone gets the man, they will be getting a very good shot-stopper.
