"Primary Children in Portugal Engage in FSY-inspired Activities"

Primary children in the Vila Nova de Gaia 1st Ward, Porto Portugal Stake, recently had an exciting day full of activities inspired by the For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences. The event, held on June 15, was a unique opportunity for the younger members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to have their own version of the popular FSY gatherings.

The meetinghouse buzzed with laughter and energy as the children participated in various group activities, games, and competitions. Under the guidance of their team leaders, the children painted banners, created group chants, and learned valuable lessons about teamwork and friendship. The activities weren't just about fun; they also focused on teaching important principles and values, such as following Jesus Christ and working together.

Throughout the day, the children had moments of reflection and spiritual growth, exploring the teachings of Christ and strengthening their faith. The highlight of the event was a colorful dance in the cultural hall, where parents joined in to celebrate the bonds of friendship and faith that were forged during the day.

"Missionary Preparation Week for Primary Children in Colombia"

In another part of the world, Primary children in the Cartagena Colombia Stake embarked on a week-long journey focused on preparing them for future missionary service. The children were assigned to serve in different missions and received training from full-time missionaries. They engaged in various activities, including providing service, making calls, and inviting friends to participate in spiritual gatherings centered on Jesus Christ.

Participants shared their joy and excitement about the activities, with one child expressing happiness about sharing the word of God with friends. Primary leader Vianny Liseth Hernández Zambrano highlighted the significance of the experience, emphasizing that it taught the children how to be missionaries in their everyday lives.

"Integrating the Children and Youth Program"

Both events in Portugal and Colombia were part of the Church's Children and Youth program, which aims to help children grow in their faith and progress on the covenant path. By focusing on spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual development, the program offers a comprehensive approach to strengthening children's testimonies and fostering personal growth.

Primary activities play a crucial role in this program, providing opportunities for children to build relationships, serve others, and deepen their understanding of gospel principles. With a focus on fun, engagement, and spiritual development, these activities aim to support children and families in their journey of discipleship.
