Maharaja OTT Release Date:  Vijay Sethupathi’s latest release marked the 50th film of the actor. Nithilan Swaminathan’s directorial has garnered a lot of love and appreciation from the audience and the critics. Especially Vijay’s acting has gained a lot of praise from the audience and the critics.  It became the highest-grossing movie which crossed 100 Crore globally in just 19 days. The movie has been produced by Passion Studios, The Route, and Think Studios. The trailer of the movie was lit in Burj Khalifa. 

Talking about his 50th movie, Vijay made a conscious decision to choose and be particular about scripts. The actor earlier said in a press conference at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club. “I have heard 500 scripts and have chosen to act in only 50. Some turn out to be classics, hits, averages, or flops, but the effort that both the crew of the movie and I put into these movies remains the same,” he said.

The movie revolves around a barber, who seeks vengeance after his house is burglarized. He cryptically told the police his Lakshmi had been taken and left them uncertain its a person or an object. The story showcased his quest to recover the elusive ‘Lakshmi’ unfolds. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Mamta Mohandas, Anurag Kashyap, Singampuli, Abhirami, Natarajan Subramaniam, Manigandan, Vinod Sagar, Aruldoss and Munishkanth in pivotal roles. Nithilan Swaminathan’s directorial released in theatres on 14th June. On its first day, the Tamil movie earned Rs Rs 4.50 Crore across the country. Vijay Sethupathi’s starrer was made on a budget of Rs 20 Crore and was released on 1,915 screens worldwide.
