Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte would be open to the idea of joining Manchester United this summer window.

Ugarte, 23, joined the French club from Sporting last summer after spending the previous two-and-a-half seasons in Portugal. He moved to Europe from South America as a teenager, months after debuting for the senior Uruguay side

While he was a first-team regular during the first-half of the season under Luis Enrique, he lost his place in the side in the second-half of the season.

According to Fichajes, Manuel Ugarte would be open to the idea of joining Manchester United this summer window after the French giants offered him to a number of clubs in order to get their money back.

If Manchester United really wanted to sign the player this summer – if they believed Ugarte would add to the side – then we are sure that the board would get a transfer deal done.

But despite the reports that he has been offered to many clubs – it looks like the player would like to make the move to Manchester and join United – they are seemingly leading the chase for the player.

But anything can happen in football and if the the right club offers a bigger amount of money – then United will miss out. So if they really wants the midfielder – then they need to hurry up and try to get a transfer deal done, rather than waiting around.

ZIRKZEE TO MOVE –

Bologna have confirmed that Manchester United target Joshua Zirkzee is ‘99.9 per cent’ likely to leave the club this summer.

Having had one of the clubs worst Premier League seasons and then shocking Man City in that FA Cup final – there has been alot of speculation about who Man United could sign this summer window

Erik Ten Hag is keen to add a striker to his impressive United attack at some point in the coming transfer window as that is an area that needs to be improved on with Rasmus Hojlund not hitting the goals that the club would have liked.

That has led to many reports in the media that Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing the striker this summer but recent reports has revealed it is ‘now or never’ if they want to sign Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee.

And now Bologna’s technical director, Giovanni Sartori, has confirmed that the club have already been working on signing a replacement for the 23-year-old: ‘Zirkzee has a clause so he will leave 99.9 per cent,’ Sartori told Sky Sport Italia on Monday evening.

‘We have been thinking about his replacement for months.

‘It won’t be easy but we will work to replace him, we already have some names, some ideas.’

Zirkzee is a talented young striker – but is he any better than Rasmus Hojlund? probably not. but he would add some more depth to that attack. But it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils truly wants the lad as there has been so much speculation and rumours over a possible deal.

UNITED OPEN TO MAGURE EXIT –

ESPN reports that Manchester United are ‘open to offers’ for centre-back Harry Maguire this summer transfer window.

The England centre-back is concerned over his game time having fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and losing the captaincy.

Maguire, 30, was linked with a January move to WEST HAM as the Hammers were prepared to pay £20 million to get a transfer deal done, but Red Devils boss Erik Ten Hag made the strange decision to keep hold of the defender.

However, Maguire accepted his lack of opportunities could become an issue sooner rather than later and After losing the club captaincy to Bruno Fernandes ahead of the 2023-24 season, alot of speculation about his future has dominated the headlines.

United have already cut their cloth at centre-back by releasing Raphael Varane, and it is quite probable that Maguire will follow him out. Talks over a new contract for Jonny Evans continue.

Dwight Yorke recently advised Harry Maguire to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Speaking to OLBG, Yorke said: “Harry Maguire might see it differently and he’s entitled to, but I think him leaving Man United is a no-brainer.

‘His respect in the changing room would have diminished. Maguire would be a good fit for Aston Villa. Aston Villa is a big club and there is a certain way Unai Emery will want to play and there might be a player he has lined up already that we don’t know about.

‘Maguire should be the option for Aston Villa to look out for.”

There has been some quality players linked with a move to Manchester United – so space will need to be made. Maguire is not the same player he was a few seasons ago and it is easy to see why the Red Devils are open to the idea of letting him leave
