Mike Flanagan Interview with the Vampire praise

Mike Flanagan is famous for his supernatural horror shows like The Haunting of Hill House and The Fall of the House of Usher. However, he knows how to appreciate other works besides his own, and just shared his praise for a popular vampire series.

On his X account, Mike Flanagan just praised the popular AMC show Interview With the Vampire. The series is based on Anne Rice's popular The Vampire Chronicles series and has just wrapped up its second season. Following its finale, the famous auteur couldn't help but share the best review.

Interview with the Vampire Star Addresses Louis and Lestat's Future

Actor Jacon Anderson is unsure if his character is ready to reconcile with Lestat.

"INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE on @AMC_TV just perfectly stuck the landing on an absolutely exceptional second season," the director wrote in his X post. "Damn. One of the very best shows on TV. Huge congrats to the entire cast and crew. WOW #InterviewWithTheVampire."

Flanagan doesn't recommend other shows online often, so his hyping Interview with the Vampire is a big thing. For example, horror author Stephen King is constantly recommending movies and TV series to his followers and is usually spot-on with his recommendations, but Flanagan is more reserved about his praise. In the comments, a fan asked whether he could collaborate with the series, Flanagan replied, "Not possible, I'm afraid - I'm exclusive to Amazon for TV work. But I'll be cheering for Rolin and co. at every turn."

Guardians of the Galaxy star Karen Gillan gives high praise to Mike Flanagan's upcoming Stephen King adaptation.

Mike Flanagan Is a Frequent Stephen King Director

Mike Flanagan has created many fan-favorite films over the past decade, striking gold following his deal with Netflix, which resulted in several miniseries and TV series. The critically acclaimed The Haunting of Hill House earned Flanagan a lot of praise from the critics and the audience. Since then, he continued with The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, and The Fall of the House of Usher. However, aside from his impeccable miniseries, he has also helmed several successful adaptations, some of them based on Stephen King's novels.

Widely recognized as one of the best King directors, Mike Flanagan helmed the sequel to the critically acclaimed King novel The Shining called Doctor Sleep in 2019. He also adapted Gerald's Game, and has two more King adaptations in the works. One of them is the star-studded The Life of Chuck, with Tom Hiddleston as the lead character, and he owns the television rights to The Dark Tower, which will be one of his future projects.

The Life of Chuck is set to premiere at The Toronto Film Festival, which takes place between Sept. 5 and Sept. 15. The film doesn't have an official theater release.
