It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Shirley Smith. She went to be with the Lord, June 28, 2024. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 10 a.m.-noon at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Greenhill Cemetery.

Shirley was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Shirley was born in Rowan County, Kentucky, to Marion Lewis and Idis Ward but resided in Frankfort, Kentucky, for most of her life. Shirley passed at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
